I sent a 4' high bag of almost new, some were brand new with tags, clothing to Thread up. There were name brand items like Cabi, JCrew, Banana Republic, Nordstrom, etc.

I received $5.75 for items they purchased (which one a pair of new Cabi pants and now selling on their page for $35 and they gave me $2 for them). The rest of the items are on consignment for almost $200, for which I may receive up to $12! 40% of the items they said they could not use, which I don't get because it was all really good, current, cute clothing! I totally get they need to make a profit but that much!?

They are literally using customers clothing to make money and giving us cents for what they're profiting off of. It's just plain wrong. Don't bother going to the trouble of shipping items to them so they can profit. I would have been better off trying to sell through Offer up or just plain donating it for charity.

At least you'd feel better about it.

No more. Shame on ThreadUP for taking such gross advantage!!!!!!!
